Planet Earth, Skating Bears, and an Unbelievable Hockey Fight

This weekend I had a chance to watch the BBC documentary Planet Earth. If you don’t know about Planet Earth it is a documentary that covers all regions of the natural world: Ocean, Fresh Water, and Mountains, to name a few. These Videos capture the amazing variety of life that is exploding from every angle on this earth.
Watching Planet Earth taught me more about nature than anything else I have ever seen. I highly recommend it, and the dvd or blu-ray is sale now for 60% off from Amazon and it is well worth the money.
I was watching Youtube recently and I came across a video of Bears skating around and playing hockey. There is an ongoing debate about whether or not this video is real. My bet is that the video is probably real because at the two minute point the bears have a little fight. Funny the bears did not get 5 for fighting though. Maybe the ref didn’t want to have his face ripped off.
I was reading some of the comments from this video and some people think that this is unethical treatment of bears. Anyone who thinks this is ethically wrong should think about the ethics behind bears killing humans. I think it’s pretty impressive that they got these bears to skate around and actually play hockey.
The next video was the disappointment of my week. The title was “Unbelievable Hockey Fight” so I was expecting something really good. I’m not going to spoil it but it is really is unbelievable so check out the video and see for yourself.
